1983 Porsche 911 SC Cabriolet

I am in my 70’s and it’s now time for my wife and I to start downsizing. So, the cars are starting to go first.

This is my beloved 1983 911 SC Cabriolet.
The car has never been in an accident, or had any paint work done to it. It’s all original, and it’s always been garaged.

I’ve owned it for a number of years, and it took me over 10 years of searching to find the right SC Cabriolet.

It needs no mechanical service, other than it will require its annual oil change and filter in May, when it comes out of hibernation.

(I get all my cars ready for hibernation in mid November by filling their tires to 60lbs, {so they don’t flat spot}, fill the gas tanks and put gas stabilizer in them. I start them twice a month in off season, {every other Saturday and let them run for 10 minutes each}, then bring them out of hibernation once the weather warms up, usually late April, or early May. They then go out around my neighborhood, a 10 mile loop, for exercise during the spring, summer and fall… and occasionally to a car show, or a Cars and Coffee event.)

The clutch, suspension, transmission, brakes, engine, and everything else are all solid and don’t need any attention, although the brake fluid should be flushed this spring when the oil and filter are changed. (I have a case of 10-30W oil that will come with the car.) It needs nothing (except the mentioned yearly oil change, and this year brake fluid flush) and is ready to go.

The interior is free of any tears, rips, seam splits, cracks, or other issues. The dash is perfect, all the gauges work as expected. The convertible top is perfect, as is the back window.

There are no blemishes or rash of any kind on all four wheels. The tires have full tread.

1983 was the last year for the SC, and the first year for the 911 Cabriolet. It is estimated that just over 1,400 cars were made.

The color combination is rare: with the exterior being color “Special Color Code” # 662 (Rauchquarz Metallic) with burgundy leather seats, dash and door cards, and burgundy carpet.

There are 71, 265 original miles on the car.

The tonneau cover, tool kit, spare tire, and owner’s manuals come with the car, along with 2 keys.

The car will need to be garaged so if you can’t keep it in a garage please don’t inquire.

Thank you.
