This first year 944 was special ordered with 5-speed, Locking Differential, Sport Shocks, Stabilizer Bars, Cookie Cutter Alloy Wheels, Sunroof, Rear Wiper, Alarm, Leather 380mm 3- spoke steering wheel, Porsche Pinstripe Cloth seats and door panels, Windshield with graduated tint, Rectangular (white) Bosch Fog Lights, Body Side Moldings, Wheel locks, cassette/Coin Holder, Factory stereo prep with antenna, Blaupunkt Power Amp, and Speakers, Blaupunkt CR-3000H Stereo Cassette, Air Conditioning, and Power Windows.
The original owner was a mechanical engineer and was very officious about service. The car was put in storage in 2014 with 26k miles and we were so impressed by the cars condition and originality, that we had The local Porsche Guru service/ update/replace everything on the mechanics “wish list” back in 2019.
New updated clutch, pressure plate, t/o bearing, thrust bearing, release bearing guide, All 4 brake rotors, pads and sensors, caliper cleaning, brake fluid flush, all new updated timing/balance belts, tensioners, shaft roller, 4 new 215/60R15 tires, hatch struts front & rear, gas tank reconditioning, fuel filter, fuel lines, fuel sending unit, updated turbo water pump, fuel pump, crank sensor, cam seal kit, fan switch, Oil and filter, coolant flush, and updated the A/C to r-134a.
We just purchased it back from the second Porsche Club Member/owner who continued an officious routine of service. Still 100% original paint, interior and mechanics, now with 36k. miles. Original owners manual, service book, spare tire, tool kit, tire pump, jack, tire bag, gloves drop cloth, touch up stick and a notebook bound with documented service history.
Near impossible to find a first year 944 in such fine original condition.
