Description:
Very respectable 1981 Porsche 911SC sunroof coupe has only 77,000 miles on chassis, 20,000 on rebuilt engine/trans. Engine starts and runs very well. Exterior is White with chocolate brown leather interior. Carfax title check was run in 2000 and verified that the car has never been totaled or flooded. At some point in it's life the car had a repaint (same color) and the finish is overall in very good shape. It is very shiny but does have the minor blemishes that a weekend driver 911 typically has. Although it is not concourse, it's still a real head turner. Interior is in very good shape, the dash is perfect, the drivers seat shows some minor cosmetic wear in the leather finish on the entry side hip bolster, but no scratches or tears. The 16 inch Fuchs wheels are shod with Bridgestone Potenza 730s and have plenty of life left in them. Car sees abo! ut 2,000 summer miles per year, and of course, has been stored in the winter. It drives and handles very well, better than new in fact. This can be attributed to regular maintenance and upgrades of bearings, shocks, bushings and brakes. Equipped with power mirrors, power windows and power sunroof, they all work fine. The car appears to be lowered a bit, and might even be corner balanced. I do not have any paperwork to verify this, but it does indeed handle and ride better than 95% of the 911s I've driven. Car includes Ôø‡PORSCHEÔø‡ bra, Pioneer CD player and updated speakers-in original places (it still looks factory). It's a turn key deal, a completely reliable daily driver. Here is a bit more detail about the mechanicals. #1: The engine and transmission (and clutch) were professionally rebuilt by AUTO-Edge in Minneapolis, MN ! in 2001 and have only 20,000 miles on them. Along with the re build, the cam tensioners were updated to pressure fed, and high performance (Web 20/21) cams were installed. Horsepower is up to European specs. New engine has always had Redline synthetic oil in it. NO oil leaks at all! Rebuild was performed because the case had developed a broken stud. #2: Several other major components have been replaced since 2000 as well. Alternator, Spark plug wires, brake master cylinder, calipers and sway bar links, as well as other maintenance items. #3: I have $14,000 of receipts for the work that has been done since 2000 June/07 N.A.D.A. values are: Low Retail: $14,300 Average Retail: $16,300 High Retail: $21,900 This car may be the last 911 a person will ever need to own. With the 3.0L engines commonly going 150,000 miles, and so many major items ! ; freshly replaced, youÔø‡ll probably only need to do oil changes and stay on top of the paint and leather. ItÔø‡s a drivable investment that should last for years and years. And at $14,500, it is a lot of value for the money! Call Brian at (320) 286-2369
